    • Overview of domains across lifespan (early learner through adult)
    • How MOTAS prioritizes quality of life, relationships, and autonomy

Hour 2 – Kindness Method

  • The Kindness Method:
    • Kindness is the method, not the reward
    • How compassion, attunement, and safety accelerate learning
    • Shifting from compliance-based models to connection-based growth
  • Understanding behavior through a trauma lens
    • How stress, adversity, and unmet needs shape development
    • Differentiating skill deficits from protective responses
  • Using the Kindness Method
    • Identifying strengths as anchors for healing
    • Writing goals that build safety, agency, and resilience
  • Case examples across ages (child, teen, adult)
  • Interactive goal-writing and discussion
  • Practical takeaways participants can use immediately in assessment, treatment planning, and daily practice

Participants leave with a clear understanding of how to assess what truly matters, write meaningful goals, and support growth through kindness, developmentally informed practice, and trauma-aware care.
